Day 1: Arrival. Mt Kilimanjaro

Welcome to the land of adventure! Upon landing at Kilimanjaro Airport, our friendly driver will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi town.

If you arrive early and have some extra time, don’t let it go to waste! Take advantage of this opportunity to explore the cultural village of Marangu on an organic coffee tour, hike to a stunning waterfall, and visit the underground caves and hut of the Chagga tribe (additional cost applies, arranged upon request). With so much to see and do, your adventure in Tanzania starts now!

Day 2: Moshi – Olpopongi Masai – Sinya village

After a lavish breakfast in your lodge, our MTB crew will be there to make sure that your bikes are in order and that you are ready to hit the road. Time to put on your helmets and saddle up!

Our ride takes us to explore the Enduimet Wildlife Management Area, a land leased from local Masai and a hidden gem not accessible to the other visitor. Bordering Kenya’s Amboseli National Park, this territory is inhabited by abundant wildlife: elephants, lesser kudu, giraffes and zebras; gerenuk and striped hyenas can be also often observed. Enduimet concession ensures sustainability through wildlife conservation and partnership with local masai community.

This day offers you captivating Mt Kilimanjaro views, off-the-beaten-track biking, walking, cultural immersion on our masai boma visit, unmatched photographic opportunities of scenery, wildlife and local life.

We will end our today’s cycling by reaching Sinya Campsite situated amidst masai dwellings, where we will be treated to campfire and and a hot dinner.

Day 3: Sinya village – Simba Farm, West Kilimanjaro

Our cycling adventure will lead us through arid open plains and acacia woodlands, gradually ascending the foothills towards West Kilimanjaro. Today’s tour concludes at Simba Farm, perched atop vast wheat and barley fields. We will admire magnificent vista of the plains of western Kilimanjaro region.

Simba Farm is a fully operational farm and lodge, located on 1700 m above sea level and spread across 5000 acres of rolling hills in West Kilimanjaro. The views over majestic Kilimanjaro, the Masai steps, and Mt. Meru will reward us for our persistence and courage. Farm’s proximity to Londorossi Gate also makes it an excellent base for us, for tomorrow we are cycling up to Shira Plateau via Lemosho Route.

Call it a night after having your dinner and spending some memorable time at the campfire in this magic place.

Day 4: Simba Farm – Londorossi Gate (2250 m) – Shira Plateau (3500 m) – Moshi

This morning we are entering Kilimanjaro National Park territory via Lemosho Gate. Pedaling forward, we will witness the striking change of climatic zones of Mt Kilimanjaro. We are going to traverse the mountain forest zone, followed by the grassland, heather and moorland zone. Eventually, we reach the helipad on the captivating Shira Plateau.

This area at an impressive height of 3500 m boasts splendid views of Mt. Meru and the Great Rift Valley. Keep an eye out for more wildlife sightings, as the region is known for its diverse game population. Our lunch will be served on the mountain, on some remote viewpoint.

Our route gradually descends to the National Park gate. You can choose to downhill to make the most of your MTB adventure, or to reach the gate in a support vehicle. From the Londorossi Gate, our dedicated driver will take us back to a city hotel.  After a fulfilling journey, a refreshing shower and champagne celebration awaits.

Day 5: Departure to the airport or continue your adventures on safari (additionally)

Next morning the driver will be ready to take you to Kilimanjaro Airport if you are flying to Zanzibar or to a home country. For the rest of the travelers, an exciting safari through the best national parks in Africa awaits!

If you travel with your own bike, we will take off 5% of the total cost of the trip for you. Our bike mechanic will check up your bike before the tour start at no extra cost.
